Position Title: Bus Driver/ Maintenance/ Cleaner
(MINIMUM CLASS 4 REQUIREMENT)
Permanent Fulltime
Starting wage: Negotiable
Duties:
- Transport families to and from Head Start daily for AM & PM classes
- Assist Head start teacher in classroom (making snack, supervising children, interacting with parents)
- Working as a team with all staff in the upkeep cleaning of the centre
- Taking the bus to garage as needed for maintenance upkeep
- Conducting regular daily safety inspections of the bus before each route (the driver must take good care of the bus & vans)
- Maintain the grounds of the Head Start in all seasons
- Understand and follow requirements of health and safety for the program
- Regular playground inspections and building inspections
- Maintenance of the building
- Clean and disinfect highly touched surfaces
- Sweep, mop floors, vacuum entrance door mats
Qualifications:
- Must enjoy interacting with young children 0 – 3 years of age
- Minimum Class 4 driver’s license
- Are reliable and responsible
- Have energy and motivation
- Provide a clear criminal record check with resume
- Provide a clear child abuse registry check with resume
- Certified in CPR Child/Infant or willing to take CPR / first aid training at first opportunity if don’t already possess.
