FINANCE CLERK ( PDC – Full-Time Position )


Purpose of the Positions

The Finance Clerk will be responsible for providing financial, administrative and clerical services in order to ensure, efficient and accurate financial and administrative operations for the Peguis Development Corporation. The Finance Clerk must comply with the Financial Administration Act, General Accepted Accounting Principles and band financial policies and procedures.


The Finance Clerk will report to the Chief Financial Officer and will be responsible for providing financial, administrative and clerical services. This includes processing and monitoring payments and expenditures and preparing and monitoring the A/P, A/R system. These services must be provided in an effective and efficient manner that will ensure that the band finances are accurate and up to date, that staff are paid in a timely and appropriate manner and that vendors and suppliers are paid within established time limits.

Perform the day to day processing of financial transactions, excellent filing skills, daily purchase orders, to ensure that finances are maintained in an effective, up to date and accurate manner.

Provide Administrative and financial services support for the Band Finance programs. Excellent computer and communication skills will be an asset.

Perform all other related financial duties as required.


SAGE 300, Accounting or Finance certificate

3 to 5 years experience in Finance

Criminal Record Check required
