Blaine Pedersen, Minister of Infrastructure, and Derek Johnson, MLA Interlake Region, along with Howard May, Director of Communications visited Peguis First Nation on August 29, 2016.
The main focus of the visit was to discuss long term flood mitigation in Peguis First Nation. Chief and Council took the visitors on a tour to see first hand the devastating impacts to lands, roads, houses and infrastructure.
Peguis Chief and Council seek support from both the federal and Provincial governments to help address long term flooding issues.
