Juniors Sweep Fishermen


On Tuesday, March 28, 2016 the Peguis Juniors won the KJHL Championship against the Selkirk Fishermen. The game, held at the Selkirk Recreation Complex, was the 4th game of a best of 7 series for the championship. Peguis Juniors, leading the series 3 – 0, won 4 – 2 over the Selkirk Fishermen making the win a sweep for the series.

I just want to say thank you to all the people that supported the Juniors all year, we have the best fans in the world. I am real proud of the players, coaching staff and management. My players really came together to win this championship. Just want to say thanks again to Peguis First Nation for the support during the season. I am real proud of my guys.” Said Coach Mike Spence.

Next for the Peguis Juniors will be the Westerns in Regina from April 14 to 17, 2016.
