Event Launch of the Honouring Our Children, Families and Nation Act
Where Peguis First Nation Multi-Plex

On January 1, 2020, new federal legislation (referred to as Bill C-92) came into force, affirming the right of First Nations to develop their own specific child and family services legislation.
In the last year, Peguis Child and Family Services (PCFS), in conjunction with Peguis First Nation, has been developing draft legislation, that will be reviewed by community members.
This draft legislation, called the Honouring our Children, Families and Nation Act has recently been completed and Peguis First Nation and PCFS representatives are now ready to share the document with the community and public.
We are pleased to invite you to join in this historic event as Peguis First Nation celebrates on March 2, from10:30am to 1:00pm.
Grand Entry at 10:30am followed by a pipe ceremony, traditional feast will be served respecting all Public Health Orders.
Also consider, this will be a socially distanced event, masks will be mandatory and ongoing hand sanitizing is required. If you are symptomatic or feeling sick, or if you have travelled out of province within 14 days of this event, please refrain from attending.
