Office Administrative Assistant 

The office administrative support will provide a broad range of administrative tasks to support the Centre’s goals and objectives in delivering health & safety protocols, accountability, consistency and updated information of the families, children, funders and staff within the centre. The duties of the office administrative assistant will include but is not limited to: health & safety check lists, risk assessment screening, maintenance of office, staff and children files, providing general administrative support, reception, faxing, photocopying, filing, mail distribution, responding to front desk inquiries and directing traffic to the appropriate personnel including a variety of other duties as required by Director. 

Applicant must have: 

  • Clear and current child abuse registry check & criminal record check 
  • Experience working in office duties within an organization 
  • Experience working amongst children ages 10 months to 6 years old 
  • Good organizational and time management skills 
  • Current First Aid/Child CPR certificate 
  • Valid class 5 driver’s license and own transportation 
  • Honest, trustworthy and respectful in your approach with public and children 
  • Able to maintain friendly and informative relationships with children and families 
  • Ability to complete written documentation 

Applicant must be able to: 

  • Work Monday to Friday between the hours of 8am to 1pm 
  • Work mainly independently and as well within a team 
  • Work under the direction of Director 
  • Treat children, parents, staff and visitors with empathy, respect and equality 
  • Cooperate in the maintenance of positive relationship and maintain confidentiality in all areas of the Centre 
  • Be willing to undergo a drug test 

Part time employment from August 2020 to March 2021. All applicants will be thoroughly screened; successful candidates will be contacted for an interview. 

Wage – $12 per hour
