Recreation – Administrative Assistant


Length of Employment: 6 month term review, and potential extension for full 52 weeks 

Applicants required to have:

  • Updated clear Criminal Record check
  • Updated Child Abuse Registry check
  • Good Written and Oral communication skills
  • Must be able to work independently and as a team
  • Reliable, trustworthy, and respectful
  • Able to maintain friendly and informative relationships with guests and staff
  • Good organizational, and teamwork skills
  • Ability to complete written documentation

Applicant must be able to:

  • Work flexible hours during week, and weekends
  • Work under the direction of supervisor
  • Basic knowledge with computers such as word, excel, publisher and internet
  • Daily administrative duties such as incoming calls, filing, program payments, and computer work
  • Scheduling and booking guests for areas of use, and ensuring safety covid guidelines upon entry
  • Physically healthy to be constantly moving and lift objects up to a 40 pound max.
  • Work in an outdoor and indoor settings based on events and programs
  • Be willing to undergo a drug test
  • Be willing to do onsite training for areas of safety and health certificates when available
  • Working along with the Recreation Director and Coordinator on projects when needed
