Security Guard


Peguis Gaming Commission is seeking Security Guard(s). Security Guard is entrusted to secure, protect and monitor all assets, building, employees, patrons and visitors.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

• Must be 18 years of age;
• Must be trustworthy, dependable and reliable;
• Able to compose incident reports, read, understand rules, regulations, policies and enforce barring;
• Be poised, tactful and diplomatic and have the ability to make decisions and exercise good judgment under stress and in emergency situations;
• Able to work scheduled shifts Sunday – Saturday:
• 9:00am – 5:00pm;
• 5:00pm – 1:00am;
• 1:00am – 9:00am;
• Ensure safety and security of the building facility, customers and employees; including its contents;
• Patrol premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates;
• Answer Alarms and investigate disturbances;
• Review and enter daily customer entry log report;
• Participate in monthly security meetings and trainings as requested;
• Call Police or fire departments in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
• Overtime may be required


• Manitoba Security Guard Training Certification
• First Aid/CPR Certification, AED Training, Narcan Training, Non Violent Crisis Intervention; Emergency Response Training
• Valid Driver’s License an asset
• Operate and Monitor Security Video Equipment
• Monitor and Respond to Emergencies including providing First Aid as required
• Daily Activities Entry and Reports/Incidents
